Chester - city engulfed in history, incredible stories and amazing architecture. Here we see the The Eastgate Clock, a turret clock built above the Eastgate of the ancient walls of Chester. There are so many people walking about... Where are they all going?
It is considered lucky to pass through the gate The gate has been used for controlling access to the city, defending its citizens and raising taxes.
These people had no direction until they had walked underneath the clock. Now the clock is giving them direction, watches over them and warns with its bell when the hour strikes - can you hear it too?
It is such a prominent landmark of the city of Chester and is said to be the most photographed clock in England after Big Ben.
This is original painting on canvas. It has been painted using acrylics, inks and gloss paint - my signature technique.
It is looking amazing on the wall and eyes are drawn to the details. These gold, ochre and brown colours will bring the wave of history to your room. With addition of blue, to suggest heavenly touch of the clock, watching over you and protecting your home!
Beautifully framed in a double wooden frame - black wood outside, white inner-slip. It adds extra space to the scene.
